1. HOURS OF OPERATION AND LIMITATIONS
A. The Kentucky Grand Club is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 am to 9 pm, on Friday from 11 am to 11:30 pm, and on Saturday from 5:30 pm until 11:30 pm. It will be closed on Sundays and Mondays.
11:30 am- 1:30 pm Tuesday through Friday (by reservation only)
5:30 pm - 9 pm, Tuesday through Thursday (by reservation only)
5:30 pm -10 pm, Friday and Saturday (by reservation only)
11:00 am- 9 pm, Tuesday through Thursday
11:00 am-11:30 pm, Fridays
5:30 pm- 11:30 pm, Saturdays
The Kentucky Grand Club will be closed in observation of Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. It will be closed for lunch service the Friday after Thanksgiving, but will be open for dinner that evening. It reserves the right to close on other days as well, so check the website regularly for updates.
B. The hours of serving alcoholic beverages in the club shall always be subject to change immediately following any change in the rulings of the Kentucky Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
C. Alcoholic beverages shall not be served to persons under twenty-one (21) years of age. Upon request, guests will be expected to present verification of age.
2. PRIVILEGES OF THE KENTUCKY GRAND CLUB
Privileges of an Individual Membership extend only to one person. That person, as a member, can invite guests for lunch or dinner, but a spouse cannot be considered a guest. A Family Membership extends privileges to both spouses and all unmarried children under 25 years of age, and other relatives who compose the Member’s household.
3. PRIVATE PARTIES - - THE FOLLOWING RULES SHALL APPLY:
A. Reservations shall rarely conflict with normal operations of the Club.
B. The entire Club may not be reserved for a private party during regular Club hours.
C. Club Members only may reserve Club rooms for private parties.
D. Club Members making reservations will assume full responsibility for all attendant
expenses and/or damages resulting from use of the Club facilities by themselves
and/or their guests.
E. The Club Member responsible for a reservation shall be charged for any special
services requested other than the usual Club services.
F. The number of guests for private parties or special occasions may be limited by the
management to protect the privileges of Membership.
G. The Club will open during the day on Saturdays and Sundays only by special
arrangement with the Club Manager.
H. Rooms for Private Parties: The hotel has several for Members to choose from.
I. Private parties may be reserved only by Members of the Club.
J. Planned menus will be required for all dinner parties over twelve (12) persons. The
Club Office shall be advised of the guaranteed number in a party 48 hours in
K. All food served in the Club shall be provided by the Club, except special occasion cakes.
4. GUEST RULES - Repeat Guests, Access Limitations, Food and Beverage Checks
A. There is a limit for Members to invite repeat guests.
B. Guests of Members are allowed in the dining room at all hours of operation, but unless attending a private party or event at the Club, they are not allowed in the Club Lounge after 5 PM.
C. Members are personally responsible for all charges, conduct and other actions of family members and guests who enjoy the Member’s privileges of the Club.
5. SMOKING POLICY
Smoking is prohibited at all times.
6. HOUSE ACCOUNTS
Members must keep an active credit card on file with the Club Office at all times. This card will be used to cover all food and beverage costs and any other club-related fees.
7. CELL PHONES
A. All cell phones should be silenced upon entering the Club. Cell phones may not be used at any time in the main dining area or in the lounge. Calls on cell phones may be made or received in the areas of the Club that are specially dedicated.
B. Cell phone usage in private rooms is at the discretion of the host/hostess.
8. MEMBER’S DRESS CODE
A. During special club functions or private parties, the dress code will be dictated by the host and type of event.
B. Gentleman’s attire should be not less than business casual. Pants and collared shirts are required. (no athletic attire, shorts, or flip-flops).
C. Women members and guests are expected to dress appropriately (no athletic attire or shorts).
9. CLUB MANAGER - EMPLOYEES - LIMITATIONS
The Managing Director and employees shall attend only to Club duties and shall not perform special errands for Members or guests while on duty.
10. DISPLAYS, SUBSCRIPTIONS, ADVERTISING, ACTIVITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT
A. No articles of any kind may be exhibited for sale in the Club. Subscriptions shall not be circulated nor advertisements displayed without permission of the Club Manager.
B. Any activity or entertainment, including that relating to a private party or in a private Club room, which may tend to detract from the dignity or decorum of the Club must be approved in advance by the Club Manager.
11. DECORATIVE DISPLAYS
Any and all objects of a decorative nature including paintings, sculpture, etc., displayed in the Club shall be approved in advance by the Management.
12. FOURTH-FLOOR ACCESS
Members of The Kentucky Grand Club have exclusive access to the fourth floor, with the exception of guests of members that are invited to private parties or meals in the dining room. Guests of members are not allowed in the private lounge after 5 pm.
13. NO AUTOGRAPHS OR PHOTOGRAPHS WITH HIGH PROFILE GUESTS
Because The Kentucky Grand Hotel frequently plays host to high profile guests who are visiting the region, or those who are working on special writing or recording projects while guests of the hotel, it is strictly prohibited for Club Members to ask for autographs or photographs. Please also refrain from sending out social media messages informing other members of the community that there is a high profile person staying at the hotel. This is for their privacy.
14. DINING RESERVATIONS REQUIRED
Reservations are required by Club Members for all meals in the Club, whether lunch or dinner.
15. DIVERSITY OF MEMBERSHIP
No discrimination based on race, religion, or ideology. Period.
16. CLUB RESPONSIBILITY - PERSONAL PROPERTY
The Club is not responsible for any personal property brought on its premises.
17. SUGGESTIONS AND CRITICISMS
Suggestions for improved services are earnestly solicited. These proposals and suggestions should be addressed to the Club Manager.
18. MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL
Club memberships will be automatically renewed annually by the Club Office, unless directed otherwise by the Club Member at the end of a term.
19. MEMBERSHIP REVOCATION
The Kentucky Grand Club reserves the right to reject membership, as well as to revoke membership.
20. CHILDREN IN THE CLUB
There will be certain restrictions placed on when and where children are allowed and not allowed inside the Club. TBD.
21. FOOD & BEVERAGE MINIMUM
There is a $50 monthly food and beverage minimum for Individual Memberships and a $100 minimum for Family Memberships. If Members do not meet the minimum per month in food and beverage charges, then the credit card on file will be charged for the difference.
22. HOUSE RULES - CHANGES
House rules may be changed or amended at any time by The Kentucky Grand Hotel.
IN CONCLUSION: WRITTEN RULES ARE EMPTY RHETORIC WITHOUT THE FULL UNDERSTANDING THAT EACH MEMBER AND GUEST SHALL AT ALL TIMES ABIDE BY THE UNWRITTEN RULES OF COURTESY, DIGNITY AND GOOD CONDUCT EXPECTED OF ALL PEOPLE.
